Open Dawes Training is a public speaking and presentation skills coaching company based in Swindon, Wiltshire, and we take the quality and benefits of our training incredibly serious; not least because the motivation for our coaching was to help people gain/increase their confidence and ability to allow their skills, knowledge, and opinions to be heard and support their ongoing development and achievements. As a result, we have invested in our training being assessed by the CPD Standards Office and are CPD (Continuing Professional Development) Certified.
This helps our candidates to have confidence in the training, coaching, and mentoring services that we provide, and for those who have requirements to earn CPD Credits each year to continue/track their training and development to earn them from developing a skill set that can not only enhance what you already do, but also open doors that you may not even know exist yet.
The list of course or coaching that we are able to provide are listed at the foot of this page and can be provided to individuals (1-to-1 or group) or internally within an organisation (1-to-1 or internal group). Although we are based in Wiltshire, we also provide training throughout the whole of the UK.
CPD Standards Office summarise CPD as follows:
"For employees, CPD helps them keep their knowledge and skills up-to-date. It also ensures that the professional standard of their qualifications and registrations is maintained. Furthermore, it contributes to their professional sense of direction. Completing CPD helps build their confidence and credibility, allows them to showcase their achievements and equips them with tools to cope positively with change.
CPD is beneficial for employees’ career progression and advancement. Our CPD research project confirmed that for anyone hoping to get promoted, or wanting to specialise in a different area, demonstrating their learning agility and dedication to CPD can make a substantive difference. In real terms, this means that CPD contributes to achieving higher salaries.
For employers, the primary benefit of CPD is ensuring that standards across the company are high and consistent. CPD also promotes greater work engagement from the workforce and general commitment to job roles. Having a number of employees undertake CPD, whether concurrently or over a period of time, allows for the sharing of best practice and support. CPD also contributes to maximising staff potential, improves staff morale and provides a useful benchmark for annual appraisals."
